PhD in Agriculture (Crop Genetic & Breeding); Expert knowledge on Crop, cultivation, insect pests, plant diseases and weeds, practical experience in crop production and crop protection; Sound understanding of field experimental methodology; Ability to handle a vigorous workload; Good management skills; Experience in Design, locate and conduct high quality field trials in line with allocated Agronomic Development protocols and maintain trial timelines for field and report writing and Ability to lead the team while undertaking a full trial programme. Finally passionate about AGRICULTURE! Experienced in basic molecular techniques: Experience in abiotic stress breeding, salinity screening, MAS in Maize and QTL mapping for salinity tolerance in Maize. Practical experience in the design and execution of in vitro in corn plant growth chambers, greenhouse and field experiments. Identification of maize agronomic traits: Identification of maize physiological and biochemical traits associated with salinity tolerance in germination and seedling stage. Basic molecular techniques: Experienced in basic molecular techniques viz. DNA extraction, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), Agarose Gel Electrophoresis, Polyacryamide Gel Electrophoresis (PAGE). Marker-assisted selection: Use of SSR markers for corn germplasm identification, phylogenetic relationships and population structure analysis/Molecular biology and analytical techniques. Experience in Organic Farming, Hydroponic cultivation experiments and Modern cultivation technologies of vegetable crops. My work mostly comprise of R&D and process & product development.
