Agricultural Engineer graduated from the University of Chile with 20 years of experience in agribusiness and agriculture.
Graduate studies at IPM (UCDavis Cooperative Extension Fresno County).
He has worked in important private companies throughout his career: Dow Agroscienes, Groupe Roullier/Timac, Chaucer Foods and Avoamérica.
Founding partner of CropMonitor, the first consultancy firm in Chile that established a vine sap analysis laboratory, integrating precision agricultural tools (drones).
Through Crop Monitor and for 10 years it has collaborated with international manufacturers and distributors of plant nutrition inputs such as: Daymsa, Spachem, Hortus, Cropfield, Anasac, Agrauxime-Lessafre, Timac Agro, etc. Within the multiple lines of research with which he has worked: Analysis of the composition of the sap of different productive species, Evaluation of the impact of humic acids in viticulture, Evaluation of natural and physiological factors that influence the color of grapes from table, amino acids and role of glutamic acid, Oxygen nannobubbles on blueberries, ecc.
Over the past 10 years, he has also been deeply involved in the avocado business in both Latin America and Europe. He has been COO of one of the largest avocado farming projects in the world in northern Peru and Chile, leading 3,000 productive hectares with an average annual production yield of 22 Ton/Ha of Hass avocado.
Along with this, he has developed as an international avocado consultant, working with producers in Peru, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Spain, supporting research work in nurseries in the Caribbean and Europe, more than 1800Ha managed as an external consultant with 28MTon harvested together with clients in the last 3 years.
