I am a skilled agribusiness and knowledge management specialist with over 13 years of experience. My experience working with government, non-profit organizations and private enterprises has solidified my skills and approaches in facilitating and delivering capacity-building programs effectively. Through my certification as a Knowledge Manager for Agribusiness Development, I developed business models that National Agricultural Research Institutes in Africa can adopt to accelerate the adoption of agricultural knowledge products for farmers in their respective countries. I also co-developed a knowledge management strategy for the State Department for Livestock as the knowledge management expert to be used in the establishment of a National Livestock Knowledge Management Centre. In my capacity as the lead specialist for agri-innovations at the African Inception for Agribusiness Research (AIAR), I have been able to wear several hats to ensure program sustainability and organizational growth. These include support in setting up the business advisory unit that has implemented a Market Place for Improved Nutrition project in partnership with Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN). I have also played a key role in establishing and implementing the organization’s bootcamp facility that aims to incubate youth in agribusiness. I have been able to carry out in Kenya and Ghana so far. In partnership with United States International University (USIU) and Africa Women in Agricultural Research for Development (AWARD), I supported research that led to the development of the entrepreneur case studies booklet and Gender in Agricultural Investments in Africa (GAIA) program.
