For the past 15 years I have been working in the field of research on Integrated Pest and Disease Management (IPM/IDM), Etiology/Epidemiology of Fungal, Bacterial and Viral diseases, host-pathogen interactions, disease surveillance and pathogens/insects/pests diagnosis in potato and sweetpotato fields/lab, collection and their identification and characterization, testing efficacy of bio-control agents on potato and sweetpotato, insect rearing (aphids and whitefly), life cycle studies and impact assessment, seed degeneration and integrated crop management strategies, formal/farmers’ managed Hi-tech in vitro seed potato production systems (aeroponics and Apical Rooted Cuttings), potato and sweetpotato seed system strengthening and development, seed potato/sweetpotato processing and value addition, entrepreneurships/enterprise development, gender/market responsive seed system development, post-harvest management technologies and value chain development, capacity development of key stakeholders along the value chain, develop knowledge products, learning resources, related to climate adaptation, experimental designs, statistical tools for research data analyses, organic/natural farming, co-ordinate, collaborate for sustainable engagement with National and International partners/stakeholders (Universities, Govt. organisations (NARES), NGOs/FPOs/FPCs and private partners to achieve project milestones and implementation, group stablish good relationship with vendor/suppliers/manufacturers, develop, finalise and execute MoU, MoA, LoA with NARES and other stakeholders and coordinate with them for proper project implementation etc. I have worked with National and International projects and associated with many international institutes for project deliverables. I have also been the resource person for on-farm demonstration trials, Integrated Pest/Disease management, post-harvest technologies trainings to the research partners and other stakeholders, scientists and extension workers from the state Horticultural/Agricultural Departments.
