I have extensive experience in Agricultural Mechanization, including Managing Farms, Field Coordination, Selecting and Managing Farm Machinery, Land Preparation, and Cultivation. I have managed groups, conducted field tests, and facilitated training sessions for researchers, farmers, and stakeholders. I believe in sharing expertise and am eager to collaborate with organizations to enhance agricultural mechanization techniques for Ethiopian smallholder farmers and reach the unreachable. I have an MSc in Agricultural Mechanization from Haramaya University and a BSc in Agricultural Engineering from Adama Science and Technology University, Ethiopia. I have worked in different positions, from Assistant Lecturer to Head of Farm Machinery and Maintenance at Haramaya University. In addition to this, I have worked as a Land Preparation and Cultivation foreman at Metahara Sugar Factory and as a Field Coordinator at GFA Consulting Group GmbH on behalf of GIZ.
Small-scale farming was my family business. Our farmers' livelihoods have remained unchanged as they continue to employ conventional farming methods. Farmers should therefore use agricultural technology. As a child, I witnessed every hardship that my family endured. I am aware of the challenges in rural areas. This greatly heightens my motivation to improve our communities' standard of living. That is why I concentrated my education on agriculture. My strong technical background and education qualify me for the related role. I would love to work and stay in agriculture. In general, I possess the skills, credentials, and commitment necessary to join your team. Please refer to my resume, the evaluations of my abilities and character from my professors, and the opinions of my coworkers for more details. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me. Thank you for your time and consideration.
